Week 8 |

The
pedal holes in the instrument pod need to have enough clearance
as the body will move as it settles.

Fuel tanks installed
for final body fitting.

Oil filter
and system installed and heat shields.

Oil
tank and fuel pumps look great with all the anodised fittings.

Impact switches turn
the fuel pumps off if the chopper rolls over. Its better than
having fuel spraying from a ruptured fuel line.

Note the offset on
the cyclic cables. This is to eliminate slop from the system.

Great
access with the split tub. Just have a look at the room to work.

Putting the body
on for the last time prior to final assemble we need to finish
all the body work at this point so we can send it to the paint
shop.

Heat shields in place
ready for trimming.

The undercarriage
spats I like to know how to do these the easy way but I have
tried so many times. The only way is to keep cutting and then
repair the holes.

Week

Here
we have the isolation solenoid only installed on the Exec 162
FA models Series one and two. The rest of the world does not have
this but don't leave your key turned, on it will flatten the battery
over night.

Tail rotor hub assembly.

The
tail rotor drive and control arms all safety wired.

These
blades balanced very easily with no weight added.

Starter relay fitted.

Battery installed
with the wiring harness being installed this will take a bit
of time you'll see next week.

Fresh
air plenum installed.

Fresh
air vents - top view.

Laurie wanted to
swirl polish his dash it just looks great and so easy to do.
